TECNIBERIA, Spanish Association of Engineering, Consulting and Technological Services Companies, is the Spanish employers’ association of the sector, a national non-profit Association that brings together companies of this type, promoting the spirit, ties of solidarity and collaboration between the themselves, and their professional, technical, leadership and management capacity. Likewise, the Association represents its members before the Organisms, Institutions and Centers, public and private, in those matters that are of interest to them and so request, and is an interlocutor before the social agents in order to defend and promote the economic and social interests of the sector.

It enjoys its own legal personality and full capacity to act under Law 19/1977 of April 1 and Decree 873/77 of April 22 that regulate the right of business association, and in accordance with the provisions that are applicable to it. of Organic Law 1/2002 of March 22.

The Association is governed by the Statutes in force, the Internal Regulations, and the current legislation on this matter.

The TECNIBERIA Statutes are deposited in the Statutes Deposit Service of the General Subdirectorate for Programming and Administrative Action, in accordance with Law 19/1977, of April 1, on the regulation of the right to union association (B.O.E. of 4 April I 977/Royal Decree 873/1977, of April 22 (B.O.E. of April 28, 1977), with the file number 8,137 and its deposit being published in the B.O.E. No. 57 dated March 7, 2003.
They constitute primary objectives of the ASSOCIATION.

  1. Group the Engineering, Consulting, Architecture and Technological Services Companies, fostering the spirit, the bonds of solidarity and collaboration between them, and developing their technical, management and management professional capacity.

  2. Represent the members of the Association before any Organisms, Entities and Institutions, Centers, Offices and public or private, national and international Dependencies in whatever matters are of interest to them and so request.

  3. Intervene in labor relations, contributing in parallel to the unions to the defense and promotion of their own economic and social interests.

  4. Promote the image of Spanish Engineering, Consulting, Architecture, and Technical Services in the interior and abroad, assuming before the Administration the representation of the Export Sector Agreement with the participation and initiative of the Companies and Associations interested in the outside market.

  5. Support the representation, promotion and defense of the common interests of its members, both inside and outside of Spain.

  6. Encourage the professional development of companies to be carried out with the utmost respect for environmental balance, adopting as many initiatives as necessary to achieve maximum utility for its members, the economy and society in general within the framework of authentic sustainable development.

  7. Promote ethical standards of professional conduct, and ensure their observance, in accordance with the Association’s Code of Ethics.

  8. Express the collective point of view of the associated companies on issues of general or particular interest to the sector.

For the best fulfillment of its purposes and the optimal development of its activities as well as for the best exercise of representation of its Associates before the local, regional or national Public Administrations and Institutions and Companies of a public or private, national or international nature, all Individual members of the Association are integrated into it based on the volume of business (Dimensional Structure), and the nature of the professional services they provide (Sectoral Structure).

TECNIBERIA’s structure is defined in Articles 16 and 17 of the Association’s Statutes.
The different professional sectors of activity are articulated, for their associative functioning through the creation of Commissions, Committees and Working Groups.

The governing bodies of the Association are:

  1. The general assembly.
  2. The Board of Directors.

Tecniberia belongs to different national and international organizations, including:

  • CEOE Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations, institution that represents Spanish businessmen. TECNIBERIA is part of its Board of Directors.
  • EFCA European Federation of National Associations of Engineering Companies is an independent professional organization that brings together 29 national associations from 28 European countries. TECNIBERIA is part of its Board of Directors.
  • FEPAC Pan American Federation of National Associations of Consulting Companies of the Americas, TECNIBERIA is part of its Executive Committee.
  • FIDIC International Federation of Consulting Engineers. FIDIC represents a large part of the private engineering and consulting sector worldwide.

Tecniberia holds the representation of the sector of Engineering and Consulting companies before ICEX Spain Export and Investment, taking responsibility for the development of the annual Export Sector Plan.

Other Associations to which it belongs are the Spanish Highway Association (AEC), the ATC (Highway Technical Association), the Spanish Highway Technology Platform (PTC), the Spanish Water Technology Platform (PTEA), the Forum of the Spanish Nuclear Industry, AENOR, and the Mediterranean Engineering Group (MEG)

Subsidies and public aid
Subsidies and public aid received by TECNIBERIA in 2015 or currently in force are as follows:

  • MINISTRY OF ECONOMY, INDUSTRY AND COMPETITIVENESS:
    HELP FOR OPERATING EXPENSES, €18,134.00:
    Partial aid to cover operating expenses of TECNIBERIA, as necessary support to the Associations and Federations of Exporters, for their important role in contributing to the internationalization of companies.
  • NATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR EMPLOYMENT TRAINING, JOINT COMMISSION
    TRAINING SECTOR 2016 and 2017, €13,000.00

 

The subsidy awarded by the State Foundation for Training in Employment is granted to Tecniberia for its actions for the development of the functions established for business representation in the Sectoral Joint Commission of Engineering Companies and Technical Studies Offices within the training subsystem professional for employment.

The aforementioned actions have been carried out through attendance at meetings, establishment of the state reference plan and mediation in training discrepancies produced in companies.
The financing covers the work carried out during 2016 and 2017.
